New England Eyes Exhibit at The Nutmeg

New England Eyes Exhibit at The Nutmeg

On November 22 from 6-8:30pm at the Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory’s North Gallery will proudly open with a new exhibit entitled NEW ENGLAND EYES: The photography of Katina Hungerford.

Katina Hungerford is a local Torrington photographer whose work is popular on social media. Her Instagram New England Eyes enjoys over 617 followers. Her work is described as "paintings from a phone"; most of her photography is captured on her iphone but with Hungerford’s eye for detail and nuance and careful selection of filters, the end result is an extraordinary body of work worthy of canvas. This one of a kind exhibit boasts the Hungerford’s work on canvas.

The North Gallery at The Nutmeg is the latest in a series of positive contributions The Nutmeg has brought to the Torrington community.  This cozy venue will showcase local artists throughout the year, providing a prominent exhibit space right on Main Street.

There is no admission to visit during the opening of this exhibit.  Cheese and cracker table will be provided by Scarpelli’s and visitors can meet the artist herself. Hungerford hopes her work can be used to promote the beauty of our region.
